Music

When I was 11 my dad sat me down with a boom box and said play this. I didn’t know what was about to happen. The Lord opened my ears. I suddenly heard the difference between one note and another, and discovered along the way just how far one note was from the other. For music people we call them intervals. But the idea is that they are notable changes. Likely you hear them. In fact, I don’t know anyone who can’t tell the difference. I’m sure they exist out there, but humans hear these difference. I just practiced copying those sounds… with my fingers.

Over the next several months I plan to be posting “evening meditations”. Intended for simple listening. You may find “meditation” a thing you can do with it, but forget all that emptiness fuss, let’s just jump straight to the real: prayer. It is good and right to daily go before The Maker. It is right and good to speak your mind with Him. He’s a person. Mysteriously, and better still, He is your father. And He will treat you that way if you want him to.

Note: these are titled according to the date on which they were recorded. They do not have official titles. From time to time a theme may repeat. Eventually we’ll do long play YouTube videos. Like the lo-fi videos, minus the anime thumbnails and perfectly organized rooms, and the rain falling just outside the window. Though… there might be rain falling. Eventually.
